North Dakota was in the top 10 Most Welcoming Regions on Earth* according to Booking.com. The only U.S. destination to make the list!
"According to the U.S. News and World Report, the midwestern state ranks no. 14 in the overall rankings of the best states in the United States. North Dakota is known for its Badlands, an area of the state that is now part of the 70,000-acre Theodore Roosevelt National Park and is famous for the rough terrain that makes it a “bad land to travel,” according to the National Park Service."
